My commissioned set of 6 mugs is finally complete! I am so happy with the results of the mugs, and I can’t wait to give them to my customer. A long while back in October I participated as a vendor in a street fair in my town, and I sold my artwork. One woman wound up taking a business card that night and called me a few weeks later. She asked for me to make her a few mugs for her to chose from. Once those were done, she decided on the form and glaze she liked, and ordered 6 more of them! This has been my biggest commission yet to date, and I have had a lot of fun doing it. I also got very lucky with my customer, who appreciates the hand made look of things, so she was fine with there being slight differences in each mug, which comes with the territory. I was slightly worried about there being a glaze malfunction, because of their unsteady temperaments. But luckily enough, this was a great firing and they all turned out similar in color! I’ve received a lot of positive feedback on this set of mugs, and I’m hoping it’ll turn into some more commissions! I’m loving that I can start to earn money for my hard work, and what I love!
